Changhua-based catering chef and former Michelin restaurant sous chef Tai Shih-Chieh represented Taiwan at the 2026 World Chefs Championship in Malaysia, winning two Gold medals, one Silver medal, and the Top Chef Award. Taking the stage with the Taiwanese flag, he shared his goal of using his culinary expertise to bring greater international visibility to Taiwan’s small farmers and locally produced ingredients.
