ABOUT
Since 2019, the World Chefs Championship (WCC), organized by the MCMA, has been held continuously as a platform for culinary competition and professional exchange. Despite the challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the competition was never suspended, reflecting the dedication of the organizing team and the culinary community.
Over the years, WCC has helped elevate Malaysia’s culinary culture and professional culinary competitions to greater international visibility. In 2026, the fifth edition of the World Chefs Championship was officially designated by the Johor State Government as one of the key signature events of Visit Johor 2026.
In conjunction with this milestone tourism initiative, the exhibition component previously held alongside the culinary competition was further expanded and opened to broader public and industry participation, leading to the official launch of EXPO VISIT JOHOR 2026.
Together, WCC World Chefs Championship 2026 and EXPO VISIT JOHOR 2026 created an international platform that brought together culinary professionals, exhibitors, industry leaders, government representatives, and visitors, promoting exchange across tourism, food, culture, and trade while strengthening regional connections and collaboration.
