Shih Chien University’s Department of Food and Beverage Management achieved outstanding results at the 2026 World Chefs Championship in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, with students and faculty winning multiple Gold, Excellent Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards across categories including creative desserts, fried rice, Nanyang-style char kway teow, secret fried chicken, fried banana, Western-style chicken chop, and pasta challenge.
The results highlighted the department’s professional training, creative culinary development, and hands-on practical skills, while further enhancing the visibility of Taiwan’s culinary education on the international stage.
