The Department of Food and Beverage Management and Culinary Arts at Kun Shan University of Technology achieved an impressive result at the 2026 WCC World Chefs Championship in Malaysia, winning 2 Excellent Gold, 10 Gold, 10 Silver, and 2 Bronze medals — a total of 24 awards. The team competed in Chinese cuisine, artistic bread display, modern baking, coffee latte art, and other categories. First-year student Lin Cheng-Yi earned an Excellent Gold medal for his Chinese beef main course, while several students also received Gold medals for their creative bread displays. Instructor Chen Yung-Fu joined the competition as well, winning one Gold and one Silver medal in the croissant and bread display categories.
